बाल्टिमोर – समाजसेवी महेन्द्र देशारले अमेरिकाको मेरिल्याण्ड च्याप्टरमा अध्यक्ष पदका लागि उम्मेदवारी दिएका छन । मेरिल्याण्ड च्याप्टरलाई नेपालीको पृथक पहिचान दिन सक्ने राज्यको रुपमा स्थापित गराउने संकल्पका साथ देशारले च्याप्टर अध्यक्ष पदमा आफु लड्ने बताएका छन ।
एनआरएनए अमेरिकाको अब्बल च्याप्टरको रुपमा स्थापित मेरिल्याण्डमा च्याप्टरमा देशारले महासचिवको भुमिकामा निर्वाह गर्दै आएका छन । १२ वर्षदेखि अमेरिकामा बस्दै आएका देशारले प्रवासी नेपालीको विभिन्न समस्या समाधान गर्न लागि आफु लागिपर्ने बताएका छन ।
व्यवसायीको रुपमा आफुलाई स्थापित गराएका देशारले अमेरिकामा बस्दै आएका नेपालीको आर्थिक समृद्धिका लागि महत्वपूर्ण भुमिका निर्वाह गर्न सक्ने विश्वासका साथ आफु लागिपर्ने बताएका छन ।
आगामी दुई वर्षको लागि आउने नयाँ नेतृत्वले अमेरिकाको सिंगो नेपाली समाजलाई नवीन सोच, दीर्घकालीन योजना र कार्यकुशलताका साथ अघि बढ्ने देशारले प्रतिबद्धता ब्यक्त गरेका छन ।
